Disney's Desperate Housewives made me laugh. It is perfect!

The cartoonist's name is Mike Peters. He is also a Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonist. Our family LOVES Mike Peters and his lovely wife, Marion. We've played with them several times at Renaissance Weekends and they are such warm and loving people.

Mike needs to write his autobiography. Mike went to a private school back in the days before people understood dyslexia. A teacher put him in the back row - where he put all the kids who "couldn't/wouldn't" learn from him saying, "Well at least you'll get some sunshine". Mike's teacher called it the "garden patch". How rude!

Despite some pretty awlful educational experiences, Mike found his voice and keen intellect through cartooning. One terrible teacher wrote in his yearbook that Mike needed to stop day dreaming and that there was no future in cartooning. After Mike won the Pulitzer for his editorial cartooning, he was invited to his former high school to speak. He read the teacher's words right out loud and the teacher was still there! What a nice moment for Mike!
